Since he became a professional in 1965, he won many top titles (such as the Honinbo, Meijin, Judan, Fujitsu Cup, …) using his infamous « Cosmic » style that he himself prefers to call the « natural style ».

He will participating in the private and public courses (Nihon Kiin Mastercourse) (along with other professionals such as Michael Redmond 9P, Xie Yimin 5p, Chizu Kobayashi 5P, and Osawa Narumi 4P).

Born in 1966. He becomes professional in 1983, 9p in 2002. He his the owner of the « Estrela », a « Bar-Go » located in Osaka.

He is famous for his teaching all over the worls, especially in Latin America.

Born in 1963 in Santa Barbara, California.
He becomes a professional in 1981.
In 2000, he became the first westerner to become a professional 9P.

He works a lot with vision-impaired players.

He says that he decided to become a pro the day he won against his father who was… 20kyu.

His advice to the amateur players is to : « cut wherever you can! »

He is one of the very rare players who managed to win all the major international titles : Fujitsu Cup (1993), Ing Cup (1996), Samsung Cup (2000), Chunlan Cup (2001), LG Cup (2002).
